Reflections on Coaching, Resilience, and Being Seen
I recently participated in an interview with BoldJourney, where I shared more about my coaching philosophy, values, and how I think about resilience and strength.
I appreciated the chance to slow down and articulate why I coach the way I do, especially my belief that women don’t need more pressure, but rather support, validation, and space to build strength on their own terms.
What made this experience meaningful for me was not just the interview itself, but the process of putting words to my work in a public way. Being visible and perceived has never come easily to me. For much of my life, sharing my perspective openly has brought up anxiety and the familiar fear of being misunderstood or judged.
That said, this experience helped me recognize how much confidence I’ve built in my messaging and my “why.” Speaking clearly about my values reinforced that my approach is grounded, intentional, and aligned with the women I’m here to support. Rather than feeling exposed, I came away feeling more connected to the work I do and my approach.
Strength training may be the entry point for my clients, but what we’re really building is self-trust, resilience, and confidence that extends far beyond the gym. This conversation reaffirmed that staying anchored to my values matters more than trying to be everything to everyone as a coach.
